and style add a real dose of interest to the home. The budget can be low with a mixture of shopping arenas. Many items may

Popular among the wealthy Vanderbilt’s Kill Kare Kamp and the glorious Hollywood Stars Retreats in the Canadian
Rockies, the primitive rustic culture has been around since the first cave man sat on a rock. Assumed by most to be an American
West tradition, the rustic tradition actually moved west from the East. Originating in Europe and then moving to New York
City, rustic design then found a comfortable home in the Adirondack Mountains and still remains. It then spread south and
west, thriving in the Appalachian Mountains, Midwest, and eventually becoming a fixture in every town west of the Mississippi
river. Rustic is here to stay and its popularity is exploding.
Everything Rustic is available now, but the true art of hand carved master craftsmanship can’t be beat. The
Loess Hills is a stretch of heavily wooded land running through NW Iowa. This area is rich of beautiful Eastern Red Cedar
trees and logs. Several years ago, during the long cold winters of Iowa, The Ruhlands began creating small tree sculptures.Thier
love for trees has been carried out in wood carvings of the forest. Each item they craft is unique and can never be replicated.
So if you’re looking for an original one of a kind piece of beautiful rustic décor…look no more!
This is a truly unique form of Hand Crafted
Tree Art! There are two forms of this art created by the artist, wall hangings, and free standing forest scenes ranging from
two-six feet tall. Each is artistically hand crafted using Eastern Red Cedar, Walnut, Oak, Pine, Spruce, or Maple. Each piece
is meticulously carved into a scenic forest setting. The carvings vary from one tree sculpture to multiple trees with
cabins, outhouses, mountains, rocks, canoes, and bears. Each log is recovered from a pile of wood that would have been destroyed.
Each piece begins from a fallen tree, to a chainsaw cutoff, and then using craftsman’s tools, the forest is created.
Each carving is numbered and signed by the artist. A well cared for carving may be passed down through many generations. Ruhland
Tree Art as well as Ruhland Log Furniture can be purchased at: http://rusticdecorations.net
